healing can unfold over time. Our intake process is designed to ensure that each referral is approached with care and alignment.

Our team will coordinate to meet with the youth and guardian to share more about the program and ensure alignment.

A placement decision is made based on fit and readiness, followed by a thoughtful and coordinated transition into the program, if accepted.

Life at Sarah’s Home

Healing looks different for every individual, which is why Adagio offers a range of supportive experiences designed to foster growth, connection, and restoration. From therapeutic support to meaningful mentorship and hands-on activities, residents have opportunities to engage in experiences that build confidence, encourage healing, and create space for lasting change.

Equine-Assisted Learning

Time with horses offers a unique opportunity to build trust, confidence, and emotional awareness in a calm, supportive environment. Through regular equine-assisted learning experiences, residents can develop connection, resilience, and practical life skills in a way that feels engaging and restorative.

Mentorship & Meaningful Connection

Consistent, healthy relationships are a vital part of healing. Through mentorship, residents are supported by trusted adults who provide encouragement, guidance, and connection as they navigate their personal growth journey.

Therapeutic Support

Healing often requires safe spaces to process experiences, build coping strategies, and develop new tools for the future. Residents have access to therapeutic support that helps strengthen emotional wellbeing and support long-term recovery.

Who This Referral Pathway Is Designed For

This referral process is intended for those directly responsible for the care and safety of a young girl, including parents, guardians, social workers, law enforcement, and educators. It is designed for individuals and professionals seeking a stable, long-term residential environment where consistent care and relational support can be provided.

Frequently Asked Questions

Referrals can be made by caseworkers, agencies, families, and guardians. If you are concerned about a child who may need our care, you are welcome to begin the process.

Sarah's Home serves biological females ages 14–17 who have confirmed or suspected experiences of sex trafficking. We are not currently able to accept a young person who is actively in need of detox; that medical need must be met before residential placement.

Our team reviews every referral and aims to respond within five business days. If a child appears to be a potential fit, we may request additional information, then we arrange a meeting with the young person and the parent or guardian. From there, a placement decision is made together.

A referral to Sarah’s Home is for placement for minors at a long-term care facility, not emergency placement or response.
